The Health Communication Interaction Design Lab, directed by Dr. Courtney Scherr, develops and applies communication and behavioral theory to design and test communication-based interventions for patients and clinicians. In addition, we evaluate messages to identify strategies that improve behavioral and psychosocial outcomes. Our lab is physically located in downtown Chicago on the 15th floor of Abbott Hall in the Center for Communication and Health adjacent to the Northwestern Medicine Feinberg School of Medicine Campus.
